Politician #2 fasted for 11 days (of course on Saline!.. duh?!) for a separate state.
Politician #3 promised a separate state if he won the election (which he dint)
Now The high command introduces a bill for a separate state in the assembly.
After 12 hours of trying to decipher the high command's move, chaos unfolds...
96 MLAs submit resignations. 43 MLAs of politician #1's party resign, against the will of the high command.
Politician #3 tries to make sense out of all this nonsense. He promised to seriously consider The Separate State if he won the elections. Now the ruling party introduces a bill, which he promptly does not want to support. In his own words-
"The central government should have discussed with all the parties before introducing the bill. It can't just pass this in the middle of the night.. Hyderabad is laughing stock now!.. who will invest here?" (Oh! in case you guys forgot, Politician #3 is obsessed with investments, world bank loans, liberalism and capitalism..he forgot the farmers the last time)
Politician #1.1 - a replacement to Politician #1 - tries to talk logic (which never works in politics) and support the the High command's act - "Introducing the bill does not mean the bill has passed!!!.. Please take back your resignations!"
The city commissioner declares curfew in view of the political unrest in the city.
My HR sends out a mail which more or less sounds like this -
Despite of the chaos, let's not compromise on our commitments and deadlines. Let's continue working, still keeping in mind our safety and the safety of our colleagues. In case of an emergency please reach out to the HR and your respective managers. Tomorrow is a working day. Keeping in view of the unavailability of public transport, the organization buses will start by 7 am.
My view on all this - "NO COMMENTS"
