Daily credits.. What's going on?

So here's a what's up with me post..

Rapunzel Aspirations
On my quest to be the RRapunzel of 2013, I've started treating my hair with good old India hair oil. I am referring to coconut oil. As it gets colder and colder here in China, the harsh reality is.. umm.. dandruff...

Before you shriek 'eeeks!!!.. OMG! and all the drama in between, if I had a choice, I would want it to disappear by the swish of my magic wand.. But it is here to stay. I could use all those anti dandruff shampoos over the counter., heck!, I already use a mild anti-dandruff shampoo with olive extracts. (Let me pause here and say, it is impossible  to have mild AND anti-dandruff in the same shampoo formula!)

Anyway, I try not to wash my hair more than twice a week, to prevent it from going dry like a crow's nest. Shampooing often robs the hair of its natural oils.. and that interferes with my plans to be the modern day Rapunzel :)

So, I found an alternative to fight dandruff in my very own modest kitchen.. Lemon juice / pulp.. what ever you choose to call it.. I started to apply it to my scalp after dipping my hair in soothing coconut oil. So far the results are good.. The dandruff is in control and my hair feels and looks good.

Getting ready to blow your mind off.. with the awesome things my strands can do!!!

Before you wonder how long do I really plan to grow my hair, just until my waist.. No not my 'low waist jeans' waist.. Just until my formal skirt waist... I have my own motives for doing this... which I plan to reveal in 2013 :P

Color in my wardrobe..
My wardrobe staples revolve around black, blue and brown. It is time to add some color there. I also need to visit a tailor to have two of my designs conceptualized. This has been a long pending task which I intend to take this Sunday. Keeping my fingers crossed about the tailor being available on Sunday :P I am hoping to reveal my 2 designs on this blog very soon.

Yep.. right now my wardrobe looks almost like this.. like I could go to Rock concerts/ funerals/ Goth congressions

Food..
When MB and I were in the same city and working at the same office, which feels like ages ago btw (I miss you MB!), he used to hate eating left overs from the the day before. He is one heck of stickler to eating freshly cooked meals.

I, on the other hand am the mother of batch cooking and freezing, and re-heating. Though I do miss MB and the summer months, the bottles of wine and  easy conversation  we shared over freshly cooked food, I am taking full advantage of his absence and the cold weather.

I cook in a batch and freeze it in my beloved TupperWare boxes.. oh! how I like coming home to eat the same food thrice in row..Call it my guilty pleasure.. I try to change things a little by adding a dash of italian herbs, a clove of garlic or some cheese to my dinner before I defrost and re-heat it. So far I love it.. Yes, I am a bird of habit and I can eat the same thing in for a while.

If the world gets invaded by aliens/ deathly diseases/ mass famines.. I am prepared!!!

Unlike the above picture, when I say 'Batch cooking', I don't cook such enormous amounts of food that last a month..as done by some people (I hold nothing against them).
Heck, my so called 'batch cooking' covers 4 meal servings at the the max. ( 2 days worth of food). It gives me the opportunity to use all assorted vegetables and just blend them into one main course that can be served with bread or rice.. I loooovvvveee it... hmmm... yet anothe perk of living alone.. eat what you want! when you want!!

Dress Porn

The first time I saw an Elie Saab collection was on TV in 2005, I couldn't take my eyes of the dresses!
I thought I'd go crazy looking at the amount of beauty, detailing and lightness of each piece. Things that distinctly stand out in an ES collection are the sequins and detailing in every single piece.

I could cry for the seamstresses and for the elusive Lebanese designer behind this namesake brand. It almost seems like he captures the most beautiful colors in nature and adds 'air' to them, and finally pins stars all over his dresses. Each dress is an art piece, deserving it's own room!

These are some of my favorite dresses from his Couture Spring Summer 2012 collection. I don' t own any of the pictures.

Enjoy...   Notice those thin leather belts.. Who knew they could make such delicate leather belts in such light shades?

Doesn't the whole collection feel like beautiul macarons made love to tiny diamonds?.. I could eat these dresses... oops , I mean... I'd die to wear one of these. Hey!.. a girl can dream!

The Time has come.. for regular blogging!!!

Heyaah!!!

The wonderful thing about my blog is that no one reads it!!!... How isolated and crazy is that?? and how charming is it that I continue to write here... well, I'm just incapable of processing rejection and people ignoring me...That's a wonderful gift to have!

So, like the title says it... I'm going to blog regularly.. Part of the credit for this goes to my dear, kind-hearted 'sweetheart' who from now on I choose to refer as 'Man-Boy' (MB for short)...

My darling MB was kind enough to set me up with what I'd call a 'work-around' for all the sites banned in dragonland :)   XOXO and 'Let the proxy be with you'...

So, let me just say how happy I am by performing cartwheels in my head for a minute to show my love for MB and pay my respect to proxies...
